Assign Room Types in Venue Inventory

Classify rooms by structural type and seat capacity

Open Rooms Page

On the Rooms Page, register rooms with unique codes, capacities, and RoomType values: CLASSROOM, LAB, AUDITORIUM, or OTHER.

Step 1 • Rooms Page
Room Classification
Room Code: LAB-01
RoomType: LAB (Cap: 30)
Room Code: AUD-01
RoomType: AUDITORIUM (Cap: 200)
Room Code: CR-101
RoomType: CLASSROOM (Cap: 40)

💡 Rooms must have unique codes within an organization.

Configure Room Stability Preferences

Reduce unnecessary classroom changes

Open Constraints Page

On the Constraints Page, enable the 'Room Stability' soft constraint. This encourages the solver to keep a class section in the same room for consecutive periods.
